Summary
Four years. They'd kept this up for four years. They'd agree on a time interval and Vox would always break it, his visits erratic and unpredictable. He never cared if Husk was busy or what he was doing. He hated to admit he was growing fond of the visits, but Husk didn't exactly have a large group of friends to call on and there was a growing familiarity with Vox that was starting to feel like its own kind of comfort.

Summary
“You wouldn’t fuck that?” Husk shoos the table person away and deals out their cards. “Poker?”
“No. And yes.” Vox starts shaking his leg again as he looks at his cards. He was both impossible to read and easy to read all at once. His emotions were always obvious on his face, but Husk was familiar enough with how much his mind raced to know better than to guess what caused those emotions. He could be looking upset because his hand was awful or because his mind was wandering to something disappointing he'd eaten for dinner. He'd learned to not try to read him by now.

Summary
“You- You really expected a gift this year- The fuck is wrong with you?”
“Vox, you've sent one for the last seventy odd years without a break.” He rolls his eyes and steps closer. “You expect me to believe you're over it now?”
“Yes? Yes?! I tried to permakill you, was that not the first clue?!” He's digging his claws into his palms and trying not to cry. “How fucking emotionally stunted can you be?”
