Bodhi couldn't kiss Xaden goodbye in Calldyr. There were eyes everywhere, the dungeons were shared, so he made do with as much physical closeness as he could, as they shared their grief.
And he can't kiss him hello now, in the courtyard at Basgiath. But he can hug him, firmly, feel all the ways Xaden's grown and changed, their bodies no longer mirroring each other perfectly. He can lift his hand to trace the scar that bisects Xaden's brow in a gesture that could be just cousinly concern, murmur, "Well, now they can at least tell us apart," with a wicked grin Xaden's way.

“You think he wants to be president?”
“Rumor has it he might yet throw his hat in the ring this year.” Alexander glances over at him, curious. “He won’t, though.”
“How do you know?”
“For the same reason he won’t wage open war on the majority in the Senate. Some – my father included – think he’s intimidated by Washington’s popularity and it makes him reticent. They’re wrong though – it’s not hesitation holding him back. Jefferson simply doesn’t make his move until he knows he can win.”
