Summary
“Where do we put it?” she said quietly, so as not to attract the attention of passers-by of Tokyo train station. The man did not put down his call but looked at his wife with an uninterested glare. His eyes flitted in the direction of the rows upon rows of coin lockers.
Placing a ¥500 coin into her hand, he continued to speak with his manager over the phone while she unreluctantly slipped the coin into the slot and opened the locker to put the child inside.
And they got onto the next train, heading straight for the airport.
