It's always raining in Dimension-42.
Like, ALWAYS raining.
Ganke hates it.
One shitty day bleeds into the next, leaving him drained and stuck in a loop. He comes back to an empty dorm-- which doesn't surprise him. With the way he and Miles had been going at it lately, he didn't want to see him anyway!

Summary
In this world, a monster's life is essentially measured by it's soul.
But what if you didn't have a soul?
Then things change.
The world is rapidly falling apart. The Lightner's have started sending attacks through the barrier into the Dark World, destroying the land and the monsters that live there. Their magic has devastating parasitic abilities that infect Coreless Darkner's, using them as puppets to claw deeper into the realm.
As the devastation spreads, so does the responsibility of maintaining the balance and keeping the Dark World safe. Everyone has a different idea on what that should look like, but in the end, it will be up to a single monster to determine the fate of the universe.
Save it?

Miles was Oil.
Dense. Viscous. Volatile. Explosive. It only took a small spark to ignite him, and then he would burn until there was nothing left. He was distant, often cold or arrogant at times. He made a mess with everything he did, and stuck to everything. He was quiet, and mysterious. And he had a secret.
Ganke was water.
Smooth. Gentle. Easygoing. Expressive. He was the type of guy to let people walk all over him and say nothing. Nothing, that is, until pushed too far for too long. Otherwise, he was fun and empathetic, someone you could really rely on. He was a great friend. He had a secret too.
Everybody knows that Oil and Water don't mix. It doesn't matter how you try and combine them, they always repel each other. But that just wasn't good enough for Ganke, no. There had to be a way they could be together. And he would do anything to make it possible.
"Everything I've ever let go of has claw marks on it..."
"Then just... don't let go."
