Every stone, every breeze, every dreamer…" He brushed a hand against Loki's cheekbone and Loki jerked his head back. "…is under my power. Indeed, you all are my power. I am those parts of you — both dreams and nightmares — that have driven you across the universe, held scepters of authority, gloried in accolades, among other things..."
Loki tries to use the Thousand Dreamers loophole to change the world. Dream is not happy about this. Still, the King of Dreams and Nightmares has a certain appreciation for creativity and tenacity...Loki is not used to being appreciated.

“Wait,” The Corinthian said, hit by an inkling thought. “Are you stuck?”
Dream of the Endless—King of the Dreaming, Prince of Stories, Shaper of Forms—currently a sleek black cat, hissed at his tone, evidently unimpressed with his growing smile. It was far less intimidating than it was supposed to be, especially coming from a creature barely the size of the Corinthian’s shoe. Dream seemed to realise he hadn’t quite managed to get the response he wanted; glowing eyes peered up at the Corinthian, still so very bright, luminous, staring unblinking while the tip of his tail flicked back and forth in obvious irritation.
Then he meowed, insistently—
Sulkily.
It was a long time before the Corinthian could stop laughing.
Or, a Corintheus cat!Dream fic because this pairing deserves more of this trope.

Summary
Dream has been following John Constantine for quite some time now—subtly, of course, in the form of a cat. He watches from a distance, until one rainy evening, he notices something heavier than the weather hanging over John. He feels compelled to find out what plagues the man.
John finally notices the strange cat that's been watching him. He thinks it's a bit creepy, but it's not the weirdest thing he's seen. When the cat decides to approach him, he sneaks it into his apartment to shelter it from the rain. He has a little chat with it. It's far more therapeutic than he expected.
