“What?!” Chuuya shrieks, nearly tripping over his own feet. “You’re all insane! That’s not true, what the hell?!”
Gin gives him a thoroughly unimpressed stare, arms crossed loosely. Higuchi laughs nervously, twirling a lock of hair in her fingers. Tachihara snorts in disbelief, then hurriedly covers his face in embarrassment.
“Chuuya-san,” Akutagawa deadpans, staring him dead in the eyes. “I don’t want to have to say this, but you really can be an idiot.”

In light of the revelation that Chuuya doesn’t actually recognize his feelings, his friends try to make Chuuya come to terms with the fact that he is, in fact, in love with Dazai Osamu, the infuriating bastard of a neighbor he has.
Or: 5 attempts made to force Chuuya into acceptance of his feelings, and the 1 time Chuuya finally gets it into his dense self that he might really feel something for Dazai other than boiling hatred.

For as devastatingly tragic as Atsushi's life had been thus far, he was incredible at ignoring red flags. As if dating a man who casually joked about murder, didn't tell Atsushi his name for three days, and threw knives at Atsushi's head wasn't enough to convince him to leave, he'd now been kidnapped by Ryuunosuke's greatest enemies and was being used as bait. But despite all of that, Atsushi couldn't help feeling like maybe he'd finally found his "Mr. Right."

So begins Akutagawa's second year in Waseda's art and design program, a year he must also spend reworking his existing relationship with Atsushi, his best friend, only friend, and apparently something more.
Or, the Bungou Stray Dogs Shin Soukoku Café AU Spin-Off that several people reading the Soukoku side of this AU actually asked for.
Spin-off of A Drop of Black Coffee in the Pot, but this can probably be read as a stand-alone.
