For trust reasons. Definitely. As they follow along this case, they face villains, their own emotions and thoughts, and a surprising amount of soaked clothing. They were a little team, the four of them. Two powered, two not; communication messy, loyalties strong. They were close friends, and Tommy could safely say that two years into the whole vigilante-hero-grey-area-it’s-complicated business, he was enjoying himself.
Sometimes it sucked. Sometimes they failed to stop something in time, to react quick enough. People still got hurt, crime still happened. Sometimes they slunk back to their apartment injured and in pain and having gotten their arses kicked or having spent a night cold and bored where nothing even happened at all.
But- and Tommy wasn’t about to admit this aloud to anyone-
