“Is everything OK up here?” Buck hears Eddie’s voice so he stands, pivoting quickly and watching as Eddie quickens his pace. “Jesus, Buck. I leave you alone for a few hours and you –”
Sneeze. Sneeze.
“Motherfucker –” Buck covers his mouth and nose as he’s assaulted with too many more sneezes to count, nearly falling over with the last one of the spree nearly a full minute later. “Kill me. Somebody kill me.” He can’t believe he jinxed himself. At least it wasn’t a nosebleed?
“What’s going on?” Eddie asks his question a different way and spins around a few times, but Buck watches everyone shrug.
“Eddie, I think I’m cursed,” Buck whines desperately and falls back down onto the couch.

“The laughing gas,” Buck moaned, sounding mortified. “Please don’t tell me I did anything illegal.”
Eddie raised an eyebrow. “Do you usually do illegal things on laughing gas?”
“I stole a dog once,” Buck admitted.
“Ah. Then it’s a good thing I told you that we couldn’t stop to pet every single dog we saw.”

Summary
Buck sighs, “God this is so embarrassing, can I-“ He turns to look Eddie in the eyes. “Can I have a hug?”
Part of Eddie wants to laugh. Laugh at the absurdity of Buck being this nervous to ask Eddie for something as simple as a hug. The other part of Eddie wants to tug Buck to his chest and never let go.
“Of course, you can. C’mere.”

Buck’s brain short circuited for a second; his eyes widening and he could feel a flush spread up his cheeks. He cleared his throat. “I didn’t mean- I wasn’t-” he spluttered only to be cut off by Eddie's laugh.
“I was just teasing,” Eddie grinned as he turned to face Buck.
“You’re lucky Christopher is asleep or I would have not been so kind,” he said
“Threatening me in my own house Evan?”

Summary
“Dad, can you help open it?” Theo asks, handing the juice box to Eddie.
Eddie and Buck both freeze.
Buck goes to say yes but looks up to see that Theo is talking to Eddie, juice box extended to his best friend.
Eddie looks at Buck wide-eyed.
“Dad?” Theo asked again.
Buck swallows hard and nods at Eddie, giving the silent ok.
“Yeah, Theo, give it here,” Eddie says, taking the juice, putting the straw in it, and giving it back to the child. Chris watches this interaction, not saying a word.
Buck started prepping Theo’s plate when the kid said, “Mr. Buck, I don’t want the yellow stuff.” When Buck picked up the mustard.
“Uh, ok honey, that's ok. Anything else you don’t want?” Buck replies. Theo shakes his head, reaching for the burger Buck’s now finished assembling.
Aka Theo starts calling Eddie "Dad" and it has everything to do with Christopher. But don't worry Chris knows an easy way to fix things!
