Summary
Steph, in a way, was much like Bruce. They were both children no one had asked for, begging and demanding that someone, who otherwise had nothing to do with them, take on the burden of wanting them.
Except she had been lucky; all of them were.
That in spite of everything, Steph had never wondered if wanting hands would catch her if she should fall.
So no, she will absolutely not hold back, nor will she even try to restrain the rest of the Wayne children who are equally ready to go to war for the man who took them in and called them his, regardless of the blood in their veins or what name they went by.
Because no matter the circumstances that led to a child's existence, they should never have to wonder if they will fall asleep safe and wake up loved.
Isn't that right, Alfred Pennyworth?

Following Hood’s attack when was fifteen, Tim is Not Okay. Bruce giving him Paranoia for his sixteenth birthday does not help matters. Tim continues to be Not Okay for several years, though he mostly hides it well. Then Hood suddenly comes at him again when he least expects it.Meanwhile, Jason would just like to pet this fluffy cat in peace and not have to deal with people.

Summary
Jason didn’t know when it started. If he thought about it, he remembered the bright light that surrounded his mom in her last days. After that, he noticed the way some people lit up, outlined in a growing brightness that emitted from the edges of their beings. The brighter the individual, the closer they were to death.
At the parties that Bruce insisted on dragging him to, he expected the dim light from the tired old businessmen who drank too much and were limping closer to their ends, glowing a little more every time Jason saw them.
What he did not expect was for the 12-year-old neighbor kid to light up like a damn Christmas tree the second Jason laid his eyes on him.

Summary
Jason glances up at Tim as they near Drake manor, and his eyebrows twitch at the brightening glow around the boy. His breath stutters, becomes uneven. Days, hours—how can he stop it? Why does it keep coming and going?
"Tim," he says, and the desperation in his voice is barely concealed. He hopes Tim doesn't hear it. They're halfway through the Drake manor driveway. "Uhm. I really enjoyed hanging out with you today. Thank you for coming."
Tim tilts his head and smiles. "Of course," he says, but the light around him is still shining bright.
"I—" Jason swallows. "Be safe, okay? We should hang out again tomorrow."
And—to Jason's delight and relief—the light dims again as Tim smiles, and fiddles with his hands. "Yeah, okay. We will. Thanks, Jason."

Jason is meta and can see when people are close to death. Tim keeps glowing like the goddamned sun, and Jason really, really doesn't want him to die.
