“You’re what the Fenrisians call a skald then? Before all this?”
“More. I was a dreamer.” Everyone carries their own shield. Her songs were hers. They kept a roof above her head, bought her passage on voidships, and gave her a reason to live again and again and again.
“Tell me a dream then.”
“Alright.” She steps closer to him, the music swelling, “In one of my dreams, there is a Knight of Flowers.”
