Leonard McCoy was holding his fist up at chest height and pointing it towards Spock with an expectant look on his face. Spock raised an eyebrow.
“What are you doing, Doctor?”
Leonard snorted, and gestured with his fist, shaking it slightly.
“It’s a fist bump, Spock. We did good out there, so it’s like a mutual well-done thing.”
Spock eyed Leonard’s fist. Surely the doctor didn’t understand the significance behind what he was offering?.
Leonard wants to try to get closer to Spock, and offers him a fist bump without realizing what that means for Vulcan’s. Spock knows that Leonard means it platonically, and accepts the fist bumps, despite it flustering him.
