Summary
It has been a bit since I have stepped into this space, poetry has grown like vines all around my life.
I’d like to invite you to find me at CordeliaGrey.Space on TikTok and Instagram, since I first shared my poetry here, I have grown so much as a person. I have become confident in sharing publicly, speaking my truths, and I have cleaned out the abuse from my circles in life. Being on the other side of it has taught me that It is always worth the cost- that freedom you can only see a glimmer of. Leaving, protecting your peace, and cutting off people who are not safe to be around- is a necessary and vital movement if you ever want to feel that freedom and breath.
It feels impossible- but when you’re on the other side- life becomes something more.I have also released a poetry book, available on Amazon, “Saltwater” by CordeliaGrey Oriana Allen.
It is dedicated to my daughter Elsie. It is a beautifully carefully crafted story of magic and life and death.Come meet me in the wild, my art and poetry has grown. Summary
A simple poem I wrote while soaking in memories. Memories of being in my grandmas garden, and my grandpas wood shop. Childhood for me, was very hard. Most of the good memories were forgotten along with the bad ones my brain has erased to protect me.
So the things I can remember, the good things, the smells and the feelings, and the little pockets of liquid joy sunshine- they are so special to me.
But also, this poem is about all of the new memories I have made with my inner child, and with my biological child, my son. We took a trip to the mountains this year, stayed on a farm that had blankets and light fixtures just like in my grandparents house. Robins visited us, and we filled our pockets with river rocks. It was amazing and, for me, core.life is this bittersweet mixture of old and new. Being a parent, is being a child with new eyes. Ever learning. Ever observing. Hopefully, in a safe space.

Edited to add- this happened but the publisher messed me over, and it is no longer out. They dropped everything and I got carried under. Eventually, I will find a way to rerelease my poetry. Someday.
