Summary
Hermione is a detective working for the DMLE, and most days, she feels desperate to prove herself. This recklessness, however, lands her with a team of babysitters called the Serpents led by none other than Draco Malfoy.
Draco is an informant of sorts, a penance from the war, and he occludes through his days, having abandoned any hope of happiness. Babysitting Hermione proves to be a distinct challenge after they are thrown into an experimental program together and their magic is tethered.
Now, they can't control their attraction to one another, but if they want to catch the Drainer, a devastating serial killer, they'll have to avoid giving in to the urge to touch each other, as difficult as it is.
