Buck should have noticed.
Probably.
It would make sense for him to notice. He’s not stupid. He’s not oblivious.
Maybe he unconsciously made the decision to not notice. Part of him thinks that he didn’t want to add the weird behavior of his neighbor to the list of things weighing him down right now. The extensive list of things drowning him. Nor did he want to make it a problem for anyone else.
