    Tao was the first to notice. Actually, he wasn’t the first to notice. He was just the first person nosey enough to bring it up.

    “Charlie is hiding something from us,” Tao says in lieu of a good morning, which is how a normal person would greet his friends. Instead, he only throws his bag onto the table and plops down with too much force than is warranted for eight in the morning.
