Percival de Rolo III had been a bright, intelligent, curious child with ink-stained fingers and spectacles perpetually sliding down his nose. His parents—the noble Lord and Lady de Rolo of Whitestone—had indulged his nature and his whims, finding his scholarly tendencies endearing. So when his obsession with the Feywild had started at 11, manifesting in endless questions about fey creatures and ancient pacts, they had bought him leather-bound tomes with gilded pages, they had let him trawl dusty book shops and shadowy corners of traveling markets, his eyes gleaming at each new acquisition. This could have been considered their first mistake.

He discovers a massive new fetish, kink, whatever – seriously, how had it escaped his notice until now that male corsetry existed and that it looked like that – in the same sentence as Zuko's predilection for it. And he can't do a damn thing about it, because he's a good friend who promised not to make things weird.
Sokka's hopeless crush on his best friend was bad enough before the discovery of certain habits of Zuko's, but now it really just feels like the universe is out to get him personally. If by the universe he means poor impulse control and his own imagination.

Summary

Zuko has been taken by the Earth Kingdom army to who-knows-where, and Sokka is determined to get him back.
But he can’t do it alone.
With Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors by his side, Sokka is headed to Ba Sing Se to find Katara and Aang so they can go rescue his fire bender.
Things aren’t as easy as he had hoped. Corruption, lies, and unknown horrors await them inside the city’s walls. None of this is helping Sokka’s mental well-being.
Hakoda and his men face a problem of their own as Azula approaches with the intentions of making it rain fire.
Sokka and Zuko will both find themselves having to reintegrate back into a life they thought they left behind, with people they hardly remember. It isn’t easy for anyone, especially when they don’t recognize the person standing in front of them.

Summary
“What do you remember?” Sokka asks, even though he knows he shouldn’t. Even though he knows better.
But he also knew better than to save a dragon from certain death.
The dragon is silent for so long that Sokka thinks it won’t answer him. He watches the rise and fall of its chest just to ensure it isn’t dead.
"Burning," it answers eventually. "I remember burning."
Or: Sokka finds a wounded dragon outside of his village a month before his sister discovers the Avatar trapped in the ice.

“I can’t stand you either,” Sokka says. It sounds a whole lot like I love you. “Come on, you poor, sad baby, let’s go to bed.”
Or: Sokka has been running from his broken heart for years, but when his father calls and tells him to come home, he packs his car and starts the long drive across the country to the mess of a life he left behind. The last thing he expects is to break down a day into his impulsive road trip—or for his unexpected savior to be the boy he broke up with in his final year of college.
Zuko is different than Sokka remembers. Quiet and angry and filled with a grief he refuses to talk about. As the two travel back to the place where their story first started, they begin unpacking the wounds they left on each other when they were young. But as their feelings rekindle, they’ll both have to confront the reality of what it means to try again, and whether they’re brave enough to trust each other twice.

Summary
For as long as he can remember, Zuko knew he would have no say in who he would marry. Anyone familiar with basic royal customs would realize it as well. Marriage wasn’t a luxury or some grand display of love; marriage was for convenience and a power move if done correctly. It meant nothing to Zuko. He was raised with the knowledge that he would one day be sent off to live with a stranger for the sake of his nation, and it didn’t matter if he ended up happy or not. His happiness didn't matter.
All this to say, when his father tells him that he is to marry a stranger from the Southern Water Tribe and use their marriage as an opportunity to spy on the enemy, Zuko knows he has no choice. It's just...he didn't expect this stranger to be so kind to him.
