Summary
Tyler drops his tent and his backpack, watching Mark pull open the huge duffle bag he’s been carrying and set up two camping chairs, blankets and even an umbrella, which he puts aside for now.
Tyler gets started on putting up the tent, and it’s only a few practiced steps until he digs the security hooks into the dry grass. Once their little station is basically set up, both Mark and Tyler take a step back to admire their work.
It’s not much, but it looks almost cozy.

„Can you take me home later? “
Tyler finishes pulling his shirt over his head, straightening it over his chest when he turns to face Josh, surprised.
„Take you home? I thought you wanted to stay here for the night? Avoid the traffic and all?“

Summary
That situation had happened about three weeks ago now.
Weeks of carefully treading around each other whilst being in confined spaces most of the time, upholding an unspoken promise to keep this thing to themselves followed.
Shallow bedside conversations, whispered directions for the shows they played in some nights and subtle stares at one another that turned into pink-tinted cheeks whenever caught by the other.

Summary
“Are you… are you going to bed soon, too?” It’s an easy question, but it’s nowhere near as innocent as it seems.
Tyler places a prepped Lunchable in his mouth, chews slowly, and swallows it. “I’m not even in my jammies yet.” His voice comes out shakier than he intends for it to and he hears Josh breathe a quiet laugh.
“Well, what ARE you wearing then?”

Summary
The shift from light-hearted banter to genuine anger hits Tyler square in the chest and he takes an involuntary step away from Josh, the older bridging the space again immediately.
„Not so chipper anymore now, huh?“ A dangerous grin tucks at Joshes lips and he watches Tyler fold under his eyes in record speed.
„I-I didn’t mean to…“ „Yeah sure, of course, Tyler. You didn’t mean to do shit, I get it. And I didn’t mean to do this!“
