    Summary

Albedo was right about something. The abyss is weird.

Last thing Lohen remembered was that during the return trip to Mondstadt, they ran into the wild hunt. Now, leading this group of incompetents meant that he took the vanguard once more, yet somewhere, deep inside, something felt wrong. And it sucks when your gut feeling’s right.

Engulfed in abyssal energy, Lohen found himself barreling over to who knows where, landing atop a strangely tall building with a couple of oddly simplistically dressed people on the roof – and simplistic is a funny word to use given the flashing colours filling his peripheral.

In a new world, it feels like Acting Grand Master Jean has multiplied dozens of times over, what with these people constantly nagging him.

On the plus side? At least things will be interesting for a while

or during a fight with the wild hunt, the abyss kidnaps him and Lohen finds himself in an alternate dimension; MHA

    "Erm, Venti?"

"Yes?" He didn't look up right away, first finishing his aggressive scribbling.

That should do for a sign out, he pondered, staring at the letter. Sure, there's Bauer, and Beelzebub, but surely he would get it, right? Right.

So he glanced to his left, where Dahlia leaned on the counter, peering over the letter and blinking hazily. It was fine, he already knew more than he should—he knew how to keep a secret or two. Or fifty.

It was bound to happen, when one got paid in gossip.

"Are you drunk?" Dahlia asked at least, squinting at the paper still. At the very least he sounded incredulous.

    "Tsk, we're just getting started."

From the moment the first wave of relics was unearthed from the Chasm, people started to speculate.
And Venti preemptively decided to lie as a distraction.

    Summary

“So you want to live forever?” the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of the Favonius asked the young herald.

The herald nodded as his eyes darted around the alchemist’s office. He was not asking for an easy task. He was not asking for something that he even truly wanted to do. All he wanted was for his divine friend to no longer face centuries of solitude as he witnessed his closest comrades decompose into nothing but skeletal remains. For their memories to remain only in songs and epics, recited under the charade of happiness.

In which the young herald Dahlia seeks immortality as the solution to the loneliness of his God.

    Summary

The notion of a human sending sweets to their loved ones on a specific day every year piqued Venti’s interest. “What type of confections are we talking about?”

“Mainly chocolates, though some are known to give cakes and other desserts as well.” Egeria pointed to a nearby display containing various fruits covered in chocolate. “A few years ago I decided to experiment with some fruit and, well, as humans tend to do, they decided to emulate me.”

Venti looked at the chocolate covered fruit, spotting an apple covered in chocolate. He could probably just buy it, but….

“Would you teach me?” He asked, his breath fogging up the mirror of the display.

“Very well, but know that I am a strict culinary chef. Should you listen to my words exactly, you shall create something truly exquisite.” She nodded to herself, standing up a little straighter. “Come along, Barbatos, there’s much work to be done.”

    Summary

Then, Cecil’s hand twitches—ever slight—and he presses his knuckles against their head. Distantly, they can feel how his head shifts, as if looking over them; then, his words light, and prodding, he murmurs a small, “Venti,” then tucks a strand of their bang from where it had fallen over their cheek, behind their ear. “Could I see your divine form?”

“Hmm?” Though they refuse to open their eyes, their brows gain a wrinkle, furrowing as they think on his words. Eventually, nuzzling themself closer into his blouse, they hum out, “But you’ve seen my wings?”

“Not what I meant this time, little wisp,” he laughs.
