Summary
Heir to a vast criminal empire, Nero has been a perfect son and soldier since joining the family business three years ago—right after his heartless, dirtbag uncle walked out on him and his father. Or at least, that’s the way Vergil tells it. When he sends Nero to deal with Dante (demoted and exiled, but curiously still part of the business) after he falls behind on his work, their reunion raises some uncomfortable questions and sparks a change that will lead to consequences none of them could have foreseen.

Dante, long out of the game, does not take the news well, and once again the brothers are at odds—with poor Nero stuck in the middle, torn between loyalty to the man who raised him and an unexpected longing for the father he never got to know.

Summary
In his pursuit of power in the criminal underworld, Vergil (predictably) went too far and got himself locked up, leaving Dante not only with guilt for failing to stop him, but a child to raise all on his own. Now, as Nero comes of age, he finds himself wanting even more from the man who has been everything to him for as long as he can remember.

Summary
Dante would have happily cut out his heart and handed it over if that was what Vergil wanted, but the stubborn man wouldn’t express a single wish. Frustrating though it was, Dante couldn’t really blame him; Vergil hadn’t had anyone to ask for anything in a long, long time—but to make matters worse, he acted as if he were a burden that didn’t deserve anyone’s consideration. He may have been rehabilitated, but it seemed his self-assigned penance was far from complete.

Vergil never asks for anything, but that’s okay because after careful study, Dante can tell what he wants just by looking at him … Usually.

Summary
He couldn’t say when the nature of his love for his mother had evolved into something unspeakable, but he’d stopped trying to deny it years ago. It was impossible not to want her. She was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, and she had given him life; in his eyes, she was no less than a goddess.
And to her, he would always be a little boy. Most days he was okay with that, but today was different. He’d gotten a taste of what he really wanted and it was about to drive him crazy.

Dante loves spending time in the kitchen with his mother. One winter day when they’re alone in the house, his enthusiasm gets the better of him.
(An early Christmas story, or late Mother’s Day observance? Who knows, but it’s back.)

Summary
Vergil squinted at the suspicious substance. "That had better not be what I think it is.”
"Succubus venom,” Dante confirmed, taking out the syringe and flicking the barrel as he held it up to the light. "I didn't collect it myself, so don't get jealous," he added with a wink.
Infidelity was the least of Vergil's concerns; though he had never experienced its effects himself, he'd read enough to know exactly what that substance would do to him.
"You can't be serious."
"You said you trusted me. Come on, it's just us. Let go, enjoy yourself a little."
"What could have possibly given you the impression I would ever consent to being drugged with an aphrodisiac that would render me a helpless, suggestible, sex-crazed *fool* with no inhibitions whatsoever?" Even as he asked the question, Vergil felt his neck growing warm.

In typical Sparda fashion, the twins never discussed what went down between them on White Day. Now that it’s Dante’s turn to give a gift of love, he’s decided that Vergil should get what he won’t admit he wants—and he’s got a little something to help make that happen.
