Maybe something exploring Tails' past,,, maybe Tom makes a "harmless" comment about his Tails that brings up bad memories or maybe some other neighborhood kid does, causing Tails to shut down for a bit
Prompt from Defective_Avian: I always thought it would be cute to read about Maddie (or Tom) helping Sonic/Knuckles/Tails brush out their fur/quills. That seems like it might be a troublesome task to do on their own, and for a lot of their life they hadn’t had anyone to help them. It would also be a bonding experience. Just an idea. 🙂))
