Summary
He vaguely remembers being dragged out of the graveyard by his sleeves, winter chill biting at what little skin on his face was exposed under his heavy scarf. He remembers tears, blood, and his brother's panicked whispers — It’s okay, it’s okay, Todd. I’m right here, you’ll be okay.
He remembers waking up in his parent's bed twenty-eight hours later with six broken fingers and a cut on his forehead.
So, on the advice of Jeffery and his family physician, he hadn’t been back since. But today, of all days, there’s something in the air that pulls at him from every direction. It lodges a hook deep in his lungs and drags him away from Welton, into town, and into the cemetery.

Summary
All in all, Charlie himself seemed to be the least surprised out of all of them when he heard about what happened.
“Todd Anderson, criminal mastermind,” he would say, grinning like a madman, for years to come. “Beat me to it!”
Todd was not at the wrong place at the wrong time, nor was he drunk, nor did he commit a felony, though he was, indeed, not yet thirty. He was twenty-seven, and he punched a cop in the face.
