Summary
It must be grief or guilt that causes him to sit like a sentry at Peter’s bedside. Or worse, it’s caused by friendship. That makes Frank want to gag but, damn it, he likes this kid. He’s so annoying. Like a spiderweb you walk into and can’t shake off. Absolutely irritating, but Peter is also well-meaning and heroic and a good person who doesn’t deserve what Frank did to him. So no matter how long it takes, he will sit here while Jean breathes for Peter and wait until he can wake up without some magic super-powered bullshit keeping him alive.
(OR: A one-shot of the things we didn't see at the end of Brand New Day, focused on Frank and his guilt).
