I was so damn excited for a fresh start.
My ex had cheated on me, and after a year of dating stunningly gorgeous senior Xaden Riorson, I didn’t really have many friends of my own. Without him, there was nothing left for me at that school.
So I’d transferred. I put all my eggs in an entirely new, anonymous basket and uprooted my life once again.
This year, I’d finally focus on me. I’d make some real friends, buckle down in my studies. I certainly wouldn’t spend all my time with boys who would inevitably let me down. A fresh start.
My roommate, Rhiannon, seemed nice enough. Even better, she was willing to let me tag along with her already established group of friends. Her girlfriend Tara and two guys she’d met at their freshman year orientation, Ridoc and Sawyer, welcomed me easily enough. We all went out for drinks on move in day, and I really thought for a brief moment that everything was going to be so much simpler here.
That was all before I walked into my first class on the very first day of school and came face to face with none other than Xaden’s father, Fen Riorson.

I’m drunk.
I’m in a weird as fuck place emotionally.
I just broke up with the boy I’d been pining after for my entire life, for god’s sake.
Talking to not one, but two hot guys is the absolute last thing I should be doing right now.
I should go home, drink a few glasses of water, take a painkiller, and pass out in the safety of my own bed.
My phone buzzes again. My uber is outside.
Yet another reason to just ignore these gorgeous, potentially dangerous men and leave.
