“No,” but the cardiac monitor would’ve been palpable under his skin.
Canon-divergent from September 2010, when Shane suffers a cardiac event during training camp that forces his medical retirement before he ever plays a single game with Montreal. Without his playing career, Shane goes to college, finds his way back to hockey through coaching, and somehow, even without the heat of rivalry, finds his way to Ilya, too.
