“I wouldn’t want it any other way” she said she finally pushed herself off the planter box. Turning on her heels and extending her hand out to me “Are you ready to go back in?”
I looked up at her with the late day sun peeking out behind her, making her look like an angel.
“Yeah, I guess,” I said as I took her hand. A shock ran through from my palm straight to my heart as she helped me up.
And then there was a moment where we just stood there hands clasped together. staring at each other like an unspoken game of who will let go first, and neither one of us wanted to lose.
