Summary
What should have been a simple night at an auction house - pick up anything too dangerous to be left lying around, watch a bunch of humans argue over fake occult items and then return to the bookstore with Aziraphale for copious amounts of alcohol - goes terribly wrong when Crowley discovers the auction house owner, Mallory, is hiding something far more dangerous in his vault than he was letting on.
An Ethereal something to be exact.
Which leaves Crowley to wonder - how exactly did he not realise Aziraphale was missing?

"And it is told of Maglor that he could not endure the pain with which the Silmaril tormented him..."
The Silmaril did not burn Maglor, as one had burned Maedhros. But that did not mean he was free of the burden it set upon him, nor the pain of so many past misdeeds.
A short introspective What-If piece.

Summary
There are two times when absolute stillness is required, his mother had told him as a small dwarfling. The first is when someone upsets a horde of angry Elves and hiding is the best option...The second is when you find yourself nose to nose with a very large dragon and you do not wish to find yourself eaten...
Gimli, son of Glóin, displeased with his first solo adventure to the Iron Hills, sets off on a different far more ambitious task: to bring back a supply of the much-prized obsidian, also known as Dragonglass from the Withered Heath. But the Grey Mountains are forbidden for a reason, and Gimli quickly finds himself trapped in the nest of a young dragon with whom he must forge a tentative alliance if he ever wishes to escape.

Summary
In the Iron Kingdom, a tyrant reigns, with the power of the One Ring. A dark era has swept over Middle-Earth, blotting out the light - Elves are driven from the land, Dwarves hide in the mountain halls, and all pay fealty to the Iron King. But there are some who resisted...
A series of ficlets, originally written for Terrifying Tolkien Week on tumblr, set in the Patior verse. You will need to have read at least the first and second chapter of Patior for these to make sense, but they contain no spoilers for the main story. These ficlets can mostly stand-alone, but the fates of some characters will remain ambiguous so as not to spoil the main Patior storyline.
