“The Shogun?” The word tastes bitter in my mouth for some reason. Despite the fog of the details, the memories of feelings are hardly ever lost. Especially strong ones. I sigh with relief when our plates are gently laid on the table and I have an excuse to let Baal speak first.
“Please eat first.” She nods as I lift some vegetables into my mouth. “Pardon me, if you don’t mind me saying this, but as an outsider, an adventurer, your outlook must be broad on this subject matter. What do you think about the development?“ I slow my chewing and look at her with almost childish, wavering eyes. "I really want to know what you think."
I guess I can only give those dangerous eyes and that silvery, smoky voice what they ask for.
