“Hey, you must be tired. Let me do this.” Pushing Phainon to sit on the straw mat, Caelus slashed his sickle in the air, ready to show off the skills he’d acquired yesterday. He bent down, grabbed a handful of stalks, and chopped them in one clean motion, just the way he was taught.
“Wow, you’re quite good. Is this really your first time?” Phainon’s words, clearly intended as praise, made Caelus halt in his movement.
