But now, while he looks out the window, his gaze slightly softens as he watches the florist feed two white cats that leapt onto his counter, must be his pets, the butcher thought. The florist for once looked so..calm and peaceful.
The black tears that would usually stain his face were merely faded smudges now. He had a light smile and small circle eye lights that lit up his sockets. He looked almost beautiful.

“It’s gotten weird,” Namjoon says.
Jeongguk startles. In retrospect, it probably wasn’t the best idea to start this conversation while Jeongguk was cruising down the highway, already hyperaware due to the obnoxiously huge cup of coffee at his elbow. Namjoon shrieks, Jeongguk accelerates, the car swerves, and Namjoon is sure that death is imminent for a solid two seconds before they straighten out.
“It’s gotten weird,” he repeats.
“What has?” Jeongguk asks, voice still sounding a little jumpy.
Namjoon takes a deep breath.
“What’s gotten weird?”
Namjoon makes a gesture intended to encompass the entirety of the scene – the huge car, the cameras, the luggage. Jeongguk blinks and scrunches up his nose in a confused sort of way.
“I might be slightly overwhelmed,” he confesses, and this time, Jeongguk blinks in what looks like understanding.
