All Luz Noceda wanted was to get her and her friends reinstated as students at Hexside, and the way to do it was to go along with whatever Mrs Blight wanted. All good, right? Well, Luz thought so, but she wasn't counting on the newly introduced character of Odalia Blight to have quite the sinister plan in mind, where she'd let loose her husband's Abomination 2.0 on her daughter's crush until she was... crushed. And the plan would have worked, if Amity hadn't stepped (or, jumped) in.
Now, Luz was reeling from what had happened. Sure, she, Willow and Gus were students again. But, there was something else. Under the cloak of stars and away from the people she cares about, her mind starts wandering inwards. What was there, which dared to disrupt the human's optimistic heart? What was that shadow, the one that is always creeping up behind you, threatening to devour everything that's good? Luz may not know, but maybe acknowledging that heaviness, the good and bad, is something strong people do. Perhaps, it's something we should all do.
