Yoongi paused.
“My what?”
“Almost roommate.”
Yoongi stared at him for a beat, trying to make the words behave logically in his head.
They didn’t.
“What does ‘almost’ even means?”
Taehyung tilted his head slightly, like the answer should be obvious but he was willing to explain anyway.
“It means I live here.” He said, as it was the simplest thing in the world. “And you live here. So… we are almost roommates.”
After a long-term breakup, Yoongi moves into a new apartment, expecting only solitude. Instead, he discovers he’s not alone: his mysterious new roommate, Taehyung, never seems to leave.

We’re star-crossed lovers today and onward, Kim Namjoon. We’re mad for each other. I’m your muse, you’re my guide like a star in the night, we complete the worst and best parts of one another.”
Namjoon stares at him from the other side of the smoke, half-expecting the closet door to swing open and a cameraman to jump out and announce this has all been some sort of bizarre prank initiation ceremony, a test to matriculate him into the society of upperclassman theater. But it doesn’t happen, and Namjoon has no choice but begin to suspect that Seokjin is considerably out of his mind. Who even suggests something like that? Fake date to chase the high of immersive acting? Is he insane?
“Yeah,” Namjoon says flatly after the world’s longest, and most loaded pause, “we’re not doing that.”
Or, the one where rivals Namjoon and Seokjin, two nepotism-steeped tortured poets, decide to give the greatest performance of their lives and hope that no one catches onto the fact that every second of it is a lie.
Until it stops being one.

His cheeks are slowly starting to hollow out, his other hand coming up to trace the lines.

Taehyung doesn’t stop this question that's been at the back of his mind but at the same time the tip of his tongue. It's cringe-worthy and stupid, and he shouldn’t have asked but he just needed to hear it. Maybe it'll help him get through the week.
Seokjin softens at his words though, relaxing even, letting the door close once again, building their cocoon once again.
"Are you asking because we're both alphas?" Taehyung doesn’t answer, eyes averting. It wasn't fully why, but, still, he just nods.
"Yes." It's honest like Seokjin didn't even have to think about it and wasn't going to change his answer.
