Sisko starts having strange dreams. Every night he finds himself standing in front of the family of a different crew member, telling them as gently as he can that their Starfleet officer has died in the line of duty, that they won't be coming home. As unsettling as the dreams are, they seem to be warning him of imminent danger. Forewarned is forearmed, and Sisko begins using the dreams to protect his crew.
It's all working out, until suddenly it doesn't.
