Summary
Soap is a collector, though not of any one thing that Ghost can discern. He’s seen the man pick up anything from an abandoned rolex to a nondescript piece of broken glass. It doesn’t seem to be about size, it’s not shape and definitely not value; Ghost had thought he’d pinned it down as things that caught the light a certain way but was swiftly proven wrong when Soap went on a spree of collecting pebbles and sticks. There was one singular pattern that stood out in his mind, a single thread that held firm no matter how much he rearranged or plucked at it.

Summary
Soap’s attention is intoxicating. Like standing in the eye of a fiery vortex that instead of burning you, tempts you closer with warmth and promises of safety. But a fire feels all well and good when it’s in the grate of a fireplace, decidedly less so when it’s devouring your flesh. Even so, the more time Ghost spends around his enigmatic Sergeant, the more tempted he is to walk into that fire.

Summary
Ghost isn’t sure what he expects when he gets a knock on the door fifteen minutes before lights out, Price handing him a new assignment that can’t wait, a sergeant or corporal run into some problem somewhere that will only serve to waste his time, a janitor come to tell him that the wet earth and decay he smells in his room isn’t actually born out of delusion and that they need to clean out his vents. An exhausted looking Johnny isn’t necessarily the furthest down on his list but it wasn’t exactly his first thought.

Summary
Something is wrong with Soap. Perhaps not wrong exactly, but off. It hadn’t taken Ghost long to realize it but it became difficult to ignore after he saw the man pluck an acorn from the ground and crunch it between his molars without so much as a wince. Once he started realizing the things that were off about Johnny it became impossible to stop.
It’s an odd thing, Soap thinks, wanting a human. He’s favored humans in the past, and he’s currently quite fond of his Captain and fellow Sergeant. But he hasn’t, till now, wanted any of them. Though his Ghost is certainly a special case.or Soap is a fae in disguise, Ghost is paranoid but correct.
