Summary
Laura has had to grapple with many things in her life: being raised as an assassin to kill people, actually killing people, being forced to kill her mother with the trigger scent, being used by… Zebra Daddy, and that only scratched the iceberg of the things she went through.
But those were not her traumas. Those were not the events of the life she led. Because she was not Laura Kinney. The real one is dead. She is just a clone, someone created by The Five on Krakoa when they thought that the real Laura had died in the Vault by the hands of the Children of the Vault. But then the real Laura had come back, shattering the new Laura’s perspective of her life. She was not Laura anymore, heck, she wasn’t even X-23. She was a clone, and she would have to get used to it and the idea that the identity she had clawed towards belonged to someone else.
Even so… why can’t she let go of that name?
