In the wake of Beth's death, Jo feels as if she cannot stay at home in Concord. So when Laurie returns and offers her a way to travel Europe with him just like she's always dreamed, she accepts. Even if it means marrying him. But marriage to her best friend isn't as bad as Jo had feared. As the months roll on, they continue to get closer, and Jo wonders if maybe, just maybe, she was wrong about never being able to love him in the way that he wanted.
Based on the book but also on the 1994 movie. A slow burn marriage of convenience friends to lovers. Because Jo and Laurie were always meant to be together, and we all know it in our hearts
