Summary
When Eddie arrives in a new city, he expects it to be temporary—just another place to pass through without leaving anything of himself behind. Then he notices Steve, a warm, open-hearted barista who seems to shine at the center of an otherwise ordinary café, and something about that brief encounter unsettles the careful distance Eddie keeps between himself and the world.
