Summary
Shen Qingqiu had been certain, the night before, as he’d let himself drift, that he would never wake again. Instead, he was awake. He could feel sunlight on his face. He had all his limbs, and the bed was soft, and there was no pain save, perhaps, the deep, pleasant burn of muscles well-exercised.

After his death as Luo Binghe’s prisoner, the original Shen Qingqiu wakes up in Scum Villain’s universe, in the same body Shen Yuan trasmigrated into. A body Shen Yuan has not vacated.Faced with a world in which all it took for his sect to thrive, for Yue Qingyuan to live and for Luo Binghe to avoid turning into the scourge of the realms was for someone to take his place and live his life in his stead, Shen Jiu finds himself having to confront old hurts, his own accountability and the inevitability of human (and demonic) nature.

POST-CANON -- Shen Jiu from the Bing-Ge!Verse transmigrates into SVSSS canon a decade or so post-canon. He ends up bodysharing with SY!SQQ, although they are not exactly aware of each other (switching off instead whenever night turns to day and vice versa). This is mostly ShenJiu-centric, but it does introduce the situations of other main cast characters after the series has finished up (i.e., BingMeiVerse!LuoShen, Liu Qingge, Ning Ying Yin, etc.)
THOUGHTS -- I read this probably quicker than I should have, so I'm not sure if I really comprehended it all that well. BUT I WAS IN A RUSH SO-- Anyway, it turned out to be a good read despite my early misconceptions. A good fic if you're looking for some good ol' Shen Jiu healing, at least. It's not all that angsty either. But it does patch up YueShen (SJ!SQQ) and touch upon some pretty heavy subjects, so it can't really be called lighthearted. Something in between I suppose?
