When that search had came up empty he'd left to search for himself, wandering the quieter parts of the city layered with clothes to avoid drawing attention to his identity. Those of non Garlean descent and those of mixed race were everywhere... It would be wrong, shameful even, for the Emperor of the Garlean Empire to marry one who was not pure born, but Emet-Selch did not care. Even as Solus, if he could find the echo of Azem's soul he would take her hand in marriage.
But he found no blue.
Emet-Selch spends an eternity as Emperor searching for the reborn Azem, trying to find her so that he can take her hand in marriage.
Alas, his search comes up empty, and he marries another woman.. But things grow complicated further down the path of said marriage. -
