Billy Batson thinks his life is perfectly fine. Sure, he lives in an alley, considers it a good day when he manages to find something to eat, and somehow has to protect the people of Fawcett City as Captain Marvel on top of all that, but he doesn't really see the problem. Superman, however, most certainly does. After one particularly disastrous fight brings Superman and Billy together, Clark has no intention of standing by while a child tries to survive on the streets all by himself.
But how is Billy supposed to deal with Batman's paranoia about Captain Marvel? His uncle's crimes against Fawcett? Keeping his secret from Freddy and Clark? Well, there's only one way to find out!
This is a story about found brothers, deep friendships, sacrifices, fears, and, of course, my favourite little menace, Billy Batson. It's time for him to grow up, even if he vehemently objects to both change and anyone trying to help him.

While Superman and Batman try to track down the missing hero, Bruce Wayne welcomes yet another black haired blue eyed orphan into the ranks, and struggles to navigate the waters of handling a child who is *not* a vigilante. And thank god for that, too. Bruce has had just about enough of children being made into soldiers.
Billy Batson is trying very, *very* hard not to freak out. His success is debatable.

Luckily, one of his good friends, Natasha Romanoff, was stuck with him for their week-long period of detention as well - not the greatest start to their first few weeks of senior year.
This was going to be their last day of detention until he noticed both Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers in the same detention classroom. Now it was a huge surprise to Bucky Barnes since those two were the golden boys of their high school.
Yet, it got even worse when Natasha invited those two guys to sit with them for their hour-long detention period. Since Mr. Wong was subbing in for Mr. Fury for their detention period, it was basically a free talking period.
