Help me
It echoed his words back to him.
"You...You sound funny", Tim whispered.
You sound...funny
He reached out a hand, and he felt it reach out to him.
"We'll be okay", he whispered.
...We'll be okay
And with the reassuring whispers in his ears, Tim closed his eyes and all faded into the darkness.

Little Timmy disappeared in a winter forest for days and returned unharmed. But he came back different, he's not the same Tim he used to be, and that is something he can live with. What he finds strange, however, is his ever growing need to be with his people and protect them. That is also okay, because he would do absolutely anything for them, even if they wouldn't do the same, even if they don't understand.
Bruce has been struggling to figure out what the hell had triggered the alarm systems in the Watch Tower, it bugged him for the longest time, until he met Timothy Drake.

Tim was certain now that he wasn't what he used to be. He wasn't human, at least not anymore. He was something far more than that, and he had an important role to play on the planet he was assigned to."

After experiencing death and resurrection, Tim Drake realized what his true role is in the existence of the universe and what he truly is by nature. He has to maintain balance in this world, but he can't do that when there's so much going on around him, from being a neglected child to being a part of a crime-fighting family with a billionaire father and chaotic siblings. His task is not going to be an easy one to complete.
AU- Tim Drake is an angel, but definitely not the romanticized version or the biblical kind, he's just trying to do his job, why's everyone making that so hard-

"I wasn't born an Alley kid, Jay. I chose to be an Alley kid because being here, being with you is what I want to do.” She stares at him with her big intense eyes as he snaps back into the present. “But if certain people found out about who I was before I came here, then I'd have a lot of people after me. I don't mind having fun with you and the others, but I don't like adults and I don't like running. So I need you to let me find you. Can you promise that?"
They both know he’d promise her anything, just as she’d do the same.
His lips thin as he bites his cheek before he gently rests his hand on her cheek. "James, of course I promise. But I want you to promise that you'll keep finding me no matter what. And that when we're both eighteen, you'll find me one last time and we'll get married and we'll figure it out together, yeah?"
When he looks Batman in the eyes with a tire iron in his hand a few weeks later, he takes the tiniest of moments to look behind him to see dyed blonde hair and big blue eyes peak around the corner with a thumbs up and remembers an echo of previously spoken words.
"I’ll always find you. I promise, Jay."
