Summary
At 38 years of age, Caleb has nearly finished his graduate studies at the Academy and is just scraping by with a teaching assistant salary and scholarships. When money gets tighter than is comfortable, he turns to his dear friend Astrid-- now Archmage Beck-- for assistance finding less savory work to tide him over. Caleb is sent to meet Essek, who he initially thinks is just a patron that has very particulate taste in bed partners. What he actually gets is much more complicated.
