Summary
There might come a day when Lyonel did not feel so covetous over Ser Duncan the Tall, but it was not that day. Not when seeing the sunrise paint itself across Dunk’s skin still felt like a blessing from the gods. Not when he knew miles of bare pale, freckled skin waited for him in his quarters.
Lyonel's patience pays off when Ser Duncan the Tall makes a surprise visit to Storm's End without his squire present.

Summary
"I’m not a man in the habit of repeating myself, but I’ll indulge you just this once,” Maekar rumbled. “I can’t decide if I want to fight you or fuck you, Ser Duncan, but Aegon will be cross if he learns we’ve come to blows with one another, even if it was in the training yard.”
“Don’t much imagine he would be any better if he found out the latter, my lord.”
Ser Duncan is due at Summerhall, and Maekar thinks back on how he and the hedge knight worked through their animosity. Meanwhile, an unexpected raven brings Baelor some unwelcome tidings.
Can be read alone or as part of the series.

Summary
Baelor’s solitude at the Keep felt like just recompense for his selfishness and dishonoring the bond with his brother. Still, he could not keep his thoughts from the omega hedge knight. He had taken to putting far too much dried black pepper onto his food for the hint of Duncan’s scent and bathing in oil smelling strongly of resinous pine to fall asleep with the scent of Maekar. It ensured his days were lonely and filled with longing, reminders of loved ones distant and lost.
If Baelor had known Ashford was just the beginning of his troubles, he might have behaved a bit bolder—because while the gods might seem to favor him, fortune does not.
So begins the reign of King Baelor Breakspear.
Can be read alone or as part of the series.
