Summary
Dick let's that sit for a moment in the air, sniffling slightly. "I can't, Jay. I just can't. I know I told you that Robin is what my mother called me. But you, you brought Robin to life. I couldn't connect with the people of Gotham the way you could. I was in it for the wrong reasons. Vengeance. Anger. But to you, Robin was magic. Robin was a light in the darkness, a helper to all. I didn't bring that to Robin, you did. I don't think of anyone else when I hear that name."
Dick picks up the photo, looking at his little brother and his curls and his toothy smile. "Maybe Tim's right. Maybe Batman does need a Robin, someone to take care of. But Batman failed Robin. Batman failed you, Jay. I'm not sure he deserves another chance."
or; Jason Todd is buried with his cell phone - the same cell phone all of his family members keep calling while he's 'dead'.

Summary
"It is red. It's identical to your favorite at the manor, the one in the reading nook in the upstairs library. I couldn't bare to part with the real one, so I bought another and put it out there. It's selfish of me, to keep that from you. I'm sorry."
It's a juvenile thing to worry over and it hits Jason, square in the throat, that it's juvenile because Bruce buried his fourteen year old son. Because it's exactly the thing Jason used to get in fights over: food, blankets, sweatshirts, resources he wasn't used to having. Jason's so tall now he probably wouldn't fit under the throw anyway, and Jason's nose itches when he realizes that he can't exactly call his dad to tell him that.
"Merry Christmas, Jason. I hope you're warm. I hope you're safe."
He isn't safe. He can never seem to get warm, even though it normally pushes ninety degrees in the desert. He feels marginally better at night, when the sun dips and the frigid wind starts to blow. At least then, it makes more sense to be cold.
or; Bruce Wayne keeps calling his dead son's phone near Christmas time, but maybe he's not as dead as he thinks.

Summary
"Damian thinks Robin is something he's owed. He thinks that he deserves it, just by being Bruce's biological son. How do I begin to explain that it's not his? How do I begin to explain that it's not even mine? I thought maybe he would understand when he saw your suit in the cave. This would all be so much easier if Dick had picked up the colors again. Not even Damian could argue with the first Robin being Robin again. Actually, he probably could. I think the kid could argue with a wall."
or; There's something weird about the way Damian Wayne fights and it leads to Tim Drake figuring out Red Hood's identity

Summary
A small figure, hooded and dressed in all black, guards Hood religiously with two katanas. The blades are sharp and ruthless against their enemies, but it's the dance they're weaving that draws Tim closer. When Jason does a kick spin to his left, the figure is on his right instantly, fending off the goon who tried to aim at his open ribs and slicing his throat mercilessly. When the hooded figure drops to sweep the legs out from under a different goon, Jason is standing over him, stabbing his sword into the man's shoulder before withdrawing it. Everytime one of the figures is open, the other is there, protecting the flank from potential hits and enemies. Hood fights with the hooded figure as if he can predict the shadows every move, as if they've been fighting together for years.
or; Bruce tries to get Jason to stop killing and Damian has to save Jason because of it.

Summary
He sits down, knees buckling rather abruptly, hitting the bumpy mattress a little harder than he means to. Jason takes a half step forward, worry turning his lips down, but Tim manages a watery smile. “What’s for dinner?”
Jason takes it for what it is, a coded admission, an olive branch, and smirks at him. Tim wants to say it, wants to tell the older boy what he means to him, but he forces it down. If he starts speaking now, it’ll all come out. The pain and the anger. The fear from yesterday. The blood that’s now on his hands. He’ll ask things that’ll hurt Jason, like how does he cope with being a murderer, how does he handle breaking Bruce’s one rule. He’ll ask where Jason gets his anger, his rage that allows him to paint Gotham red. Willis or Bruce? Where did his come from yesterday? He can’t ask any of that, so he swallows heavily and makes a show of making himself comfortable on the futon.
or; Tim accidentally kills a man and deals with the aftermath

Summary
Tim blinks out of the streaky diner window. His car stands sentry in the parking lot, a gorgeous 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, bright Robin red with black racing stripes down the hood. It’s dirty from their drive and from other late night escapades, mud flecked over the hood and grill, because Tim doesn’t agree with Jason’s thought process that vintage cars must be cherished. Cars are for driving. Lives are for living.
“I think I’m done being Robin,” Tim confesses.
It’s rushed, pulled from his chest like he’s on his knees in a church and Damian is a terrible priest because his normally perfect composure breaks.
or; Tim decides he wants to take a break from heroing and give Robin to Damian. Here is everyone's reactions.

Summary
The hostages flinch with the sudden brightness, and right, Damian will remember to warn them next time. Tim blinks past the onslaught, eyes instantly finding Damian, widening as they flick from his swords to his tunic to his cape. For a frightening moment, Damian doesn’t breathe. He watches for miniscule flashes of anger, for body language to betray Tim’s true thoughts.
A small smile starts to form on Tim’s face, something soft and warm, but before it can fully develop, it drops into dread. Tim’s gaze slips to something just behind Damian.
“ROBIN!”
Damian moves. Without thinking, without waiting, without hesitating, he sidesteps the stab coming for him and disarms the thug with a few quick jabs. The knife clatters to the ground, the guard following with a newly broken arm, and Damian stands panting in the middle of the warehouse.
or; Damian isn't sure about being Robin and his brothers are there to help
