Ren peeked over the bookcase. He scanned the room, eyes landing on the reception desk. Ren sighed wistfully. Akechi looked breathtaking in his black turtleneck and low ponytail. Dark gray glasses sat on his face. Dark colours really suited Akechi.
"What are you doing"? Morgana asked, popping his head out of the bag. “I thought we were going home”?
Ren was so startled that he fell back. "Shh! Be quiet". He dusted himself off.
"Who are you looking at"?
Ren's cheeks turned dark red. "No one". He mumbled, peeking over the bookcase.
Morgana followed his gaze. "Akechi"!? He screeched. "Why are you staring at him"?
Akechi's head snapped up and he headed Ren's way.

Akechi prayed he wasn't blushing. He’d never heard his name sound so sensual. It was like Ren wasn’t even trying, like it just came naturally to him.
Ren smirked as he slid off the counter with the grace of a cat. "Maybe I should call you Goro. You seem to like that".
"What do you want"? Akechi hissed, cheeks bright red.
“Information”. Ren slid a file across the counter.
Akechi opened the file. “You’re telling me a world-class thief needs my help”? He turned the page. “What makes you think I know any more than you do”?
“I thought we could work together”. Ren rubbed his neck.
He never thought he’d see the day that Joker wanted his help. “What do I get out of it”? Akechi scanned the rest of the file and slid it back to Ren.
Ren’s eyes widened. “I didn’t think you’d agree”. He paused. “A date”?
“You want to go out with me”? Was he really considering going out with a thief? Albeit a drop-dead gorgeous one.
“I need a date for the party. It’ll be easier if we blend in”.
Oh... “So, it won’t be an actual date”? Why was Akechi bothered by this? Ren was a thief.

Akechi leaned back. “My back’s going to kill me in the morning”.
“I knew you were going to complain”. Ren helped him sit up. “I’ll massage you before bed”. He cleaned them up and went to turn on the shower.
“You’re staying over”?Ren pulled Akechi into the shower. “Bad timing”?
“No...”. Akechi rubbed his neck. “We’d risk getting caught”. He loved sneaking around with Ren, but it would be nice to let his sisters know.
Ren leaned against the wall. “It’s your call”. He ran his hand through his wet curls.
“You know I can’t resist you when you do that”. Akechi wrapped his arms around Ren’s waist. “You’ll be there, right”? The warm water ran down Akechi’s back.
Ren leaned forward, capturing Akechi’s lips. “Of course, my love”.
Either the steam was getting to him or he was love drunk.

Ren sat right in front of Akechi. Akechi spent about half of the class watching her. The way Ren twirled her pen when she was thinking. Her long fingers, those soft-looking curls and deep grey eyes. The multitude of colored pens she had in her bag. The incessant meowing that Akechi heard every class.
"I don't think she studies". Ren seemed to get perfect grades without trying, which infuriated Akechi. Everything came easily to Ren: good grades, perfect looks, perfect skin.
“Then you can use that as an in. Say that you’re having trouble understanding the material and suggest a study date”.
Akechi sighed. “I doubt she’ll believe that, considering I’m one of the top students in the class”.
"Well, I guess you can study. But I was suggesting that you could study together".
Akechi's cheeks turned red. "God, I'm not that damn desperate"! She wouldn't mind some stress relief, but she wasn't going to jump into bed with just any girl. No matter how hot Ren was.

"You wouldn't". Akechi said, narrowing her eyes.
