I love your wordplay, the texture of the world, from sawdust to Christmas collection; I love the way the whole thing skips over the surface of the story like a stone. And the humanity underneath it: a spy whose love was a silent, watchful thing. This is a beautiful Yuletide gift, like a delicate gingerbread house capped with fairy sugar. Thank you so much.
