Re: Stories getting lives of their own Not sure how they do it either. Runaway was originally 6 chapters. If yours is unholy, mine's either a wild heathen or the antichrist of fics. *feels strangely alright with it* But it's good, I like to read good stuff and the unholier the better.
Re: Ghost. Man, now I'm thinking of giving the boys twin brothers... who died ded. Might be good for a very disturbing one-shot. And time-travel? I'm listening. I love time-travel, gimme. But whatever you decide, the fact it now lives (un-lives) in Sirius' diary is pretty cool.
Re: Muggle settings with the Blacks. Will we see those magical artifacts in action? And, don't you think the Grimmauld Place house should be just one of their multiple houses? Like the place they stay when they have stuff to do in London, maybe? A filthy rich family like that would at least have a handful of properties, and for some reason I see them in Germany and France a lot too.
Re: Terrible things. Good, because, as you probably can tell by now, I like terrible things. #StateTheObvious
I'm still wondering which one of them tried to kill themselves in Still Life With Skull, btw. It's a coin toss, even if you mention that it was Reg, somehow the rest of the fic belies it.
I'll go do the rain dance, now. Where should I address it to?
Look, I don't know where you addressed that rain dance to, but the weather sure delivered XD It's clearing up now, so I'll do a long run and then I'll throw myself at revising that thing.
Oh do come on, long-lost twins are so 2004. (Which is to say, I would read that disturbing one-shot. Knowing you, I would probably not believe it would remain a one-shot.)
Will we see those magical artifacts in action?
You'll see some of the ones in Grimmauld Place, I'm sorry to say. Orion Black is a twisted man (but then, I just wrote his death, soooo...)
And, don't you think the Grimmauld Place house should be just one of their multiple houses?
Yes and no - I sort of do see them with more houses than they know what to do with, but then, why would Sirius offer up Grimmauld Place as headquarters for the Order? Yes, it's in London, but wizarding travel is not particularly limited by physical distance. Of course it's extremely protected, but surely Dumbledore could whip something up in a heartbeat.
Unless the other houses are even more terrible...

Well, in that fic, it's Remus who is ambiguous, and all the information is filtered through his perception (and, well, the Dementor's before that) - he just knows Sirius a whole lot better (or rather, in his words, "I thought I did"), and at least believes it's a possibility it was him. And that ambiguity is sort of its own message.
Re: why would Sirius offer up Grimmauld Place as headquarters for the Order? Vengeance? I mean, it backfires, but let's not forget that the Order were actually the lot who made sure he stayed in that hell in the first place. They were pretty ready to turn their backs on him, I'd have given them my shittiest house too, then regretted it when I got stuck in there again. Annnd the place is convenient in Canon, lol. I think it was a random plot point that then grew on its own and by then it was too late to change it? Or maybe JK just wanted to show us just how dark the Blacks really were? Eh, I don't know.
-- Unless the other houses are even more terrible... You know... I hadn't thought of that. Well, not much.
Re: Remus' brain... Yeah, let's say for horror's sake that it was Sirius. Fits my idea of it, anyway. Because, Reg is just so not brave, mostly. Not as a kid.
