Summary
Mack is wallowing in his own self-deprecation after a bad game against the Blues. Usually, the team would just let him be, but he’s terrorizing the locker rooms (sitting there in silence) and they desperately want to shower and sleep. As Mack’s best friend, they nominate Will to go in and fix him. He succeeds but could never expect Mack’s reaction.

There are things Macklin Celebrini knows to be objective truths. His identity as a beta is one of them. And since betas don’t have heats, only omegas do, it makes perfect sense that Mack didn’t think anything of his emotional instability this past week, or his increased clinginess towards Will. It’s perfectly reasonable that he didn’t think too hard about waking up this morning, an hour early, and with a headache, restless, and unsettled in a way he couldn’t quite name.
