In the time that wasn't Skull died. When the Arcobaleno's came back Skull was still dead. they refused to accept it. If Skull wasn't coming back to them then it only stands to reason they would go to him because nothing would keep them from him. Not Death and Not Time. They were not expecting Harry Potter but then again who could predict him? Not the Wizards that's for sure.
