Chapter Text
A tragic event has happened on the ship known as the Skeld that contain 11 crew mates. 2 alien imposters who have stolen the identities of two innocent civilians Orange and Green have snuck on the ship and killed 6 crew mates: White, Blue, Lime, Cyan, Brown, and Black. To make this even more tragic, an innocent crew mate Yellow was unfairly ejected into outer space after being framed by the imposter Green. Only 2 crew mates have survived: Purple and Captain Red. The two crew mates have made it to Indsutria as the two sadly got out of the ship where they see other three other crew mates: Coral, the archeologist who is best friends with the sadly late Black, their cousin Gray, who is also an archeologist and Maroon, a detective. Red and Purple sadly walks towards the three crew mates, which ends up catching Coral's attention. "Excuse me?!"
Purple hears Coral as they and Red turn around and sees the coral-colored crew mate coming up to them with Gray and Maroon. "Hi! I'm not sure if we have met but, I'm Coral! I'm an archeologist and this my cousin Gray. They're an archeologist as well and this is Maroon. They're a detective." Gray greets the two crew mates. "Hello." Maroon also greets the two as well. "Nice to meet you." Suddenly, Coral started to look around for some strange reason as they turn towards Red and Purple. "Hey, where's Black?" Purple grows surprised upon hearing that Coral already knows Black. "Y-You know them?" Coral smiles with glee. "Yeah. They're my best friend. They came on the Skel with Cyan. Nice person…Wait. Where are they?" Purple gasps sadly as they turn towards Red, who sadly nods at them to tell Coral, Gray and Maroon the sad fate of their 7 crew mates, including Coral's best friend. "Coral, Black is dead." Coral gasps upon hearing this as she, Gray and Maroon freezes into sadness. "Wh-What?! Black's dead?!" Purple sadly explains the fate of Black and the rest of the crew mates as she looks down in grief. "Yes. They're dead. They're all dead. White, Blue, Cyan, Black, Lime, Yellow and Brown are dead. They've been killed by two imposters posing as Orange and Green. We also made a mistake. We injected the wrong crew mate into space. It was Yellow. Green framed them. The Ore+ we were carrying where alien eggs. We brought two alien imposters on board this whole time. I'm sorry, Coral…Black's gone."
The tragic news of the death of their best friend causes Coral to fall on their knees and break down in tears in grief. Gray kneels down and comforts their cousin while Maroon looks at Purple and Red sadly. Red, who watching from behind, looks down for a bit. They finally realized how wrong they were to betray Purple when they were interns. How wrong they were to trust Green. How wrong they were to trust MIRA that cost them their friendship with Purple as they finally know what to do. They must do the right thing: standing up to MIRA. Purple and Red then heads back to walking while Coral's anguish cries can be heard around Industria.
A few minutes later, Red and Purple made it to the office of MIRA HQ, where they see the CEO of MIRA: Pink. The large pink-colored CEO chuckles sadistically upon seeing the two crew mates walking up to them. "Hello, Red. Purple." Purple scowls at Pink, since they were the ones who fired them a long time ago and they had an unsettled dispute. Pink then brings out a piece of the Ore+ as they glare at Red and Purple. "I see you have failed to get the Ore+ to Industria. Why the fuck would you do that? Don't you even care about MIRA's safety. The Ore+ could've made millions. Time is money you know." Purple growls as they slammed their fist on the table, though Pink is not intimidated by Purple's fury. "Oh, we already know what they are! The Ore+ are alien eggs!" Unknown to them, Maroon, Gray and an already mourning Coral hears Purple's screams of fury as they sneak up a bit and starts to overhear the conversation as Purple continues ranting to Pink about the pain she has caused on the Skeld.
"You lead two alien imposters on that ship! What were you thinking?! Heracles could've been saved! Blue could've been saved! Cyan could've been saved! And Black, and White, and Lime, and even Brown and Yellow! We injected an innocent person into space, you bitch! You used Red this whole time! You made him covered up the alien attacks for you! Do you know much pain and loss you have caused?!" Pink however chuckles as the remorseless CEO doesn't care about the death and gore that has happened. "Who cares?! These crew mates must've been so fucking pathetic anyway!" Purple snarls as they threw their hat on Pink's desk. "Well if you're not gonna take things seriously, then I'm not working for you monsters anymore! And neither is Red! Right, Red?!" However, Red doesn't say anything as they stay silent as they slowly walks up to Purple, which made Purple fear for the worst. "Red?" Red looks back at Purple and then at Pink. Are they doing this again?! Are they gonna give Purple the boot like last time?! As Purple looks down for a bit, they suddenly hear the most unbelievable things happened… "I quit."
Purple lifts up and gasp when suddenly they see Red angrily throw their captain's hat on Pink's desk, much to the CEO's shock. Coral, Gray and Maroon also gasp in shock upon hearing what Red just said. "Wh-What?! Why?! Red, you were my #1 employee! You don't wanna throw this away! Do you?!" Red looks back at Purple, and then at Coral, Gray and Maroon. Then, Red looks back at Pink as they glare furiously at their now ex-boss. "Purple is right. You guys did endangered a lot of crew mates. You…we killed got them killed, by two alien monsters. And you, you don't even care! You- I made myself turn my back on my best friend and should've listen to them, thanks to you forcing me to do so. I thought being a captain is awesome. But not anymore. Find another captain. I'm outta here." Red then looks at Purple, who tearfully smiles with happiness. "Come on, Purps. Let's go home." Purple smile as they nods and leaves with Red as they head out of the office.
Then, Coral, Maroon and Gray then look at each other as they nod in determination and decided to make the right choice as well as they go up Pink. Coral furiously glares at Pink as they drops their archeology tools on her desk for they have been the cause of the death of their best friend. "My best friend is dead thanks to you. I'm done." As Coral leaves, Gray glares furiously at Pink as he chooses to quit as well. "If Coral is leaving, I'm leaving too." Gray leaves and then the last furious crew mate to be in Pink's office is Maroon, snarls in disgust. "I'm done investigating here. I quit too." Maroon furiously leaves as they slam the door as Pink glares darkly. They knew they would turn against them one day. Soon, Pink gets an idea as they got out some files about a crew mate named Periwinkle and starts calling them, who answers it as their voice is heard. "Hello? Is this MIRA?" Pink smirks as they chuckle and starts to use manipulation through their voice. "Hello, Periwinkle. I would like to make you an offer."
TWO WEEKS LATER…
A funeral was held for the fallen 6 crew mates Blue, Lime, Yellow, Brown, Cyan and Black and their guest White where some of their friends and loved ones have attended. A orchestra funeral version of "Everybody's Dead (But We're Not Dead)" plays during the funeral as the crew mates come up to the coffins to lay their respect to the fallen crew mates. Most of the guests were crying on Blue's coffin since everyone knows how attractive Blue is. White's parents put some flowers on their child's casket while White's fans pay their respect while silently weeping. Coral puts a flower on Black's coffin as they continue crying over the loss of their best friend while Gray comforts them. Maroon also came to the funeral as they put some flowers on some of the crew mates coffin. The last ones to come up are Purple and Red, who put some flowers on their fallen crewmates' caskets, each with their respective colors. Purple then looks at Cyan's coffin as they cry over them, due to them developing a genuine friendship that was sadly short-lived.
After the funeral ended, Purple and Red, who is carrying something, walks towards their crewmates' graves as they pause for a moment of silence. Then, the duo walks home when Red then gives Purple a red rose. "Huh? Oh. Thanks." Red blushes as he looks back for bit. "Yeah. No problem." Purple then looks at Red, who suddenly has something behind his back. Red reveals for it to be a cute fish mate that looks exactly like Heracles as Purple gasps in tears of joy. "Oh. Hi there, sweetie. It's nice to meet you." Purple then looks at Red. "Red, why did you do all of this?" Red looks back at the grave is their late crewmates as they sighs sadly. "Because, it was all my fault. I choose to trust in MIRA, and I got some of our friends killed. I shouldn't have trusted Green, and I was wrong to pin the blame on Heracles for the oxygen. I'm sorry, Purps. You don't have to forgive me. I know how much I hurt you by having you get kicked out. You take all the time you need." Purple blushes for a bit but gives a happy expression as they understand how truly sorry Red is. "Hey, it's worth a start. See you soon, Red." Red blushes for a bit. "Yeah. You too."
As Purple leaves with her new fish mate, they suddenly notices their car broke down and then notices Red looking at them. The duo then hears a beep and sees Coral, Gray and Maroon offering them a ride. A few seconds later, a long quiet ride happens as the five crew mates head home. But suddenly, Red starts to develop something inside of them as they look at Purple, who sighs as they look at the falling rain.
