Work Text:

Darryl’s birthday had been loud as hell. Brawlers packed in everywhere, fireworks going off, somebody (definitely Tick) setting off a little explosion that just made people cheer louder. By the time most of the crowd finally wandered off or passed out, the deck of Darryl’s ship felt almost quiet for once.

Sandy was leaning on the railing, hat pulled low, staring at the dark water like it might put him to sleep. The sugar from the cake and all the free drinks had kept him upright most of the night, but now the boat was rocking and his eyelids felt heavy again. His chest was still warm from the party heat, his hands resting against the wood.

Penny found him like that, still with a bit of frosting on her cheek and that leftover party energy in her step. Her boots thumped across the deck as she approached him.

“There you are,” she said, not too loud. “Thought you’d already turned into a pile of sand somewhere.”

Sandy turned his head slowly. He gave a tiny, sleepy smile. “Mmm... Still here. Barely.”

“Good. Captain’s out cold in the hold and everyone else scattered. Figured somebody should keep the birthday boat from floating off.” She leaned next to him and bumped his shoulder. “You looked like you were actually having fun earlier. For you, I mean. You even danced... Kind of.”

He made a quiet little sound that might’ve been a laugh. “Someone spun me. I just… followed.”

“Yeah well. You looked cute doing it.” She said it casually, but her eyes stuck on him a second longer. “C’mon. The deck below is quieter. And cooler. You’re gonna fall asleep standing up and then I’ll have to drag you, and I’m not built for that.”

Sandy hesitated a second, then pushed off the rail. The short walk to the stairs felt longer than it should’ve. Every step reminded him how heavy everything felt. Penny stayed close, gloved hand brushing the small of his back whenever the ship swayed.

The cabin was small—Darryl’s old chart room turned into a guest bunk. Low bed, porthole, one lantern throwing soft amber light. Some blankets and a half empty bottle of alcohol on the side table.

Penny shut the door with her heel. Suddenly it was just the creak of the hull and water against the side of the boat. She turned, hands on her hips.

“Sit before you tip over.”

Sandy sat on the edge of the bunk. The mattress dipped. He rubbed one eye and looked up at her through half lidded eyes. “You don’t have to stay. I can just… nap here. And wake up when the sun comes yp.”

“Nah.” She dropped down next to him, close enough their knees touched. “The party's over. I’m not ready to call it yet. And you—” she poked his bare shoulder “—look like you could use some company.”

He blinked at her. Being this close made something warm and uncertain curl in his stomach. “You’re… really close.”

“Uh-huh.” She grinned, then softened it. “That okay?”

Sandy’s cheeks warmed. He nodded once. “Yeah. Just… not used to it.”

“I know.” Penny’s voice dropped a little. “You’ve been half asleep most of the night, but every time somebody got near you, you got this look. Like you weren’t sure if you were allowed to lean in.” She reached up and tugged the edge of his hat back a bit so she could see his face better. “You don’t have to be unsure with me.”

He swallowed. The ship rocked. Somewhere above, a rope creaked. “I’ve never… really done this. Any of this… Staying up late, sitting this close... And… whatever you're implying.”

Penny’s expression gentled. “I figured. That’s okay. We can go slow. Or we can just sit. Your call.”

Sandy stared at his hands for a long moment, his gloves flexing. Then, carefully, he shifted so their shoulders pressed together. “I don’t want to just sit.”

“Yeah?” She sounded quietly pleased. “Good. ‘Cause I’ve been thinking about kissing you since you almost fell asleep on my shoulder during the cake.”

He turned his head. She was already leaning in. The first brush of her mouth against his was soft, almost questioning. Sandy made a small startled sound, then tilted into it. His hands hovered awkwardly before settling lightly on her waist. Penny hummed and deepened the kiss just enough to make his head spin. When they parted he was breathing a little faster.

“That was…” He trailed off, searching.

“Nice?” she supplied.

“Yeah. Nice.”

She kissed him again, slower this time, one gloved hand sliding up to cup the side of his neck. Sandy’s fingers tightened on her shirt. The second kiss lasted longer. By the third he was leaning into her more confidently, even if his movements stayed a little uncertain. Penny guided him back until he was half-reclined against the pillows, her body following, careful not to crush him. The lantern light painted soft shadows across the ceiling.

“You okay?” she murmured against his mouth.

“Mhm. Just… tired. But also not tired.” His voice had gone quieter. “Feels weird. Good, weird.”

“You’re doing wonderfully already,” Penny said, voice soft but clear. “Just keep breathing for me.”

Sandy’s breath stuttered at the words. He nodded, cheeks warmer. When she pushed at the open sides of his chest covering he helped as best he could, arms a little clumsy. She took her time with the rest—kissing along his collarbone, peeling off his gloves one by one, murmuring when he shivered. Penny’s own gloves came off next, then the rest of her clothes, the patch staying put over her eyes the whole time. By the time they were both bare the cabin felt warmer. Sandy’s skin was flushed, his breathing uneven. Penny settled between his thighs and kissed him again, deep and unhurried.

“You’re so soft,” she whispered against his mouth. “Look at you. All sleepy but ready for me. Feels good, doesn’t it?”

“Y-Yeah,” Sandy managed, voice small. The praise made something hot twist low in his stomach. “Feels… really good.”

One of her hands slid down between them. When her fingers found him, already half hard and sensitive, his hips jerked. Penny stroked him slowly, watching his face.

“That’s it. Just like that. You’re doing so well for me.”

Sandy’s head tipped back against the pillow. His bare hands fisted in the blankets. “Penny, ah—” A quiet, embarrassed little sound slipped out. “You keep saying that and I… I get all…”

“All what?” she asked, smiling, still stroking him. “Hot? Shy? Both?”

“Both,” he admitted, almost whispering. His hips twitched into her hand.

“I’ve got you.” She kept the rhythm gentle at first, almost lazy, matching the way his body kept trying to drift toward sleep even as pleasure pulled him the other direction. When she finally shifted and guided him toward her entrance, she paused, waiting until his eyes focused on hers again. “Ready?”

He swallowed, then nodded. “Yeah. Just… slow?”

“Slow,” she promised—at least to start.

The first push in was careful and measured. Sandy’s breath caught, his fingers flexing against her hips. Penny sank down inch by inch, talking the whole way.

“Good… just like that… mmm, taking me so well… feel how warm you are inside me…”

Sandy’s answer was a soft, broken sound. His eyes were glassy and half lidded. “Penny… you’re… nnh, talking so much…”

“Yeah? You like it?” She stayed still for a long moment once she was fully seated, stroking his hair back from his forehead. “You feel incredible. So thick. So good for me.”

“I… yeah,” he breathed, cheeks burning. “I like it when you talk to me like that. Makes me feel… warm inside.”

When she started to move—small, rolling of her hips at first—he exhaled shakily and let his hands settle on her waist. The rhythm stayed unhurried for a while. Every downward roll drew a quiet noise from him. Penny leaned down and kissed him through most of it, still talking between kisses.

“Such a good boy, staying awake for me… so perfect.”

Sandy’s fingers tightened on her. “Keep—keep going,” he mumbled against her mouth, pleading. “Please.”

She grinned and did. Then something shifted. Penny’s movements grew sharper. She planted her hands on his chest and started riding him harder, bouncing and rolling her hips with more force, the wet sound of their bodies meeting filling the small cabin. Sandy’s breath quickened. His hands gripped her thighs tighter.

“Fuck, Penny…!”

“Yeah?” She grinned down at him, voice rough with effort. “Look at you. Taking it so well. You’re so deep like this—so good for me. Keep those eyes open. I wanna see you.”

Sandy’s face burned hotter. “I… ah, I’m trying—” His hips started meeting hers, clumsy at first, then more insistent. Every word she dropped on him made his stomach flip and his cock twitch inside her.

“That’s it… fuck up into me… you’re doing so good, so perfect.”

The praise kept landing and Sandy kept reacting—soft little whimpers, hips stuttering, eyes glassy. It pushed something loose in him. His hands suddenly locked on her waist. With a low, frustrated sound he hadn’t known he could make, he surged up, flipped them in one awkward but determined motion, and pinned her beneath him. Penny’s eyes widened then lit with delight.

“There he is,” she breathed, already spreading her legs wider for him. “C’mon then. Show me.”

He didn’t need more encouragement. Sandy drove into her hard, the first real thrust making her gasp. The second made the headboard knock the wall. He braced himself on his forearms and fucked her into the mattress with sudden, relentless force—deep, rough strokes that punched little sounds from her throat. The nervousness of it being his first time was still there in the slightly uneven rhythm, but the intent was pure and hungry. Penny wrapped her legs around his waist and took every thrust, still talking.

“Yes, fuck, just like that. You’re so good, Sandy. Harder. Don’t stop. You’re fucking me so well—”

Penny!” His voice cracked. He growled something wordless against her neck and gave it to her harder. The bunk protested. Sweat slicked their skin. Every bit of praise made him thrust deeper, like he was chasing the sound of her voice as much as the heat.

“You’re perfect… so deep… look at you taking what you want. I’m so proud of you, baby…”

Sandy’s hips snapped harder at that. “Don’t… Don’t stop talking,” he panted, almost desperate. “Please, feels too good when you—hngh…”

She kept talking, voice raw and encouraging, telling him exactly how perfect he felt, how full she was, how proud she was of him for staying awake and fucking her good. The tension coiled tight in his gut. His thrusts grew shorter, more frantic.

When the edge hit, Sandy pulled out with a sharp gasp, shoved up onto his knees, and came hard across her stomach in thick, pulsing ropes. The force of it left him shaking, hips stuttering through the last of it while Penny watched with dark, satisfied eyes, one hand sliding down to rub the mess into her skin.

“Fuck,” she murmured, still a little breathless. “Look at that. My good boy. You did so well.”

Sandy collapsed forward onto his forearms for a second, chest heaving, the post orgasm haze already trying to drag him under. But the sight of her still flushed and restless beneath him, the way her hips kept making little aborted movements like she wasn’t finished, cut through the sleepiness. He blinked hard, then shifted down the bed without really thinking it through.

Penny lifted her head, surprised. “Sandy? What are you…”

He settled between her thighs, awkward and uncertain, and pressed an experimental open mouthed kiss to the inside of one thigh. Her breath caught in her throat. Encouraged, he kissed higher, then higher still, until his mouth found the slick heat of her pussy. He didn’t really know what he was doing, he just followed the instinct to taste, to lick, to press his tongue against the places that made her thighs twitch. The first broad swipe made her gasp sharply.

Oh, fuck. Sandy...” Her hand shot down and fisted hard in his hat, gripping the fabric tight. “You don’t have to, ah—”

He didn’t stop. He licked clumsily but eagerly, trying to map what made her hips jerk, what pulled those sharp little sounds from her throat. When he focused on the swollen bud at the top of her folds, Penny’s whole body arched. Her grip on his hat tightened until the fabric strained.

“Shit, yes, just like that! Don’t you dare stop.”

She started rocking up into his face almost immediately, chasing the friction, using the hold on his hat to keep him exactly where she wanted him. Sandy did his best to keep up, tongue working in messy strokes, occasionally sealing his mouth over her and sucking gently. Every time she pushed against him he groaned into her, the vibration making her thighs clamp tighter around his head.

“You’re, fuck, you’re so good at this for your first time,” she panted, voice wrecked and shocked. “Good boy. Eating me out like you were made for it. Keep going. Right there, yes!”

Sandy made a soft, muffled sound against her, hips twitching uselessly against the mattress. Her words still hit him even now, making his face burn and his spent cock give a weak little twitch.

Her hips snapped up harder. Sandy held on, hands gripping her thighs to keep himself steady, mouth open and eager as she used his face. She kept talking in broken fragments until her whole body went rigid. She came with a sharp, surprised cry, grinding hard against his tongue as the climax rolled through her. Sandy stayed right there through it, licking and sucking as best he could while she pulsed against his mouth, tasting her as she rode it out.

Only when the tension finally drained from her thighs did he ease back, lips shiny, breathing hard, looking up at her with dazed, sleepy eyes. Penny’s grip on his hat loosened slowly. She stared down at him like she couldn’t quite believe what had just happened.

Holy shit,” she whispered. “You… actually did that.”

Sandy wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, a little shy again now that the urgency had passed. “I wanted to. You… didn’t finish. It felt wrong to just leave you hanging…”

Penny laughed, breathless and fond, and tugged him back up the bed. She kissed him deep, tasting herself on his tongue, then pulled the blankets over both of them.

“You’re full of surprises,” she murmured against his mouth. “I’m keeping you.”

Sandy made a soft, content noise and tucked his face against her neck, the sleepy haze finally winning. “…Okay,” he mumbled, already almost asleep. “Keep me.”

Penny stroked his hair, still a little stunned, and let the gentle rock of the ship carry them both under. Outside the porthole the night stayed dark and quiet, the last echoes of the party long gone.

Notes:

This one is a little longer than I expected because I really liked the idea of Sandy being a sleepy little virgin... Sorry fi the writing style is different, I originally started this in May of last year.
